Professor Lowe was, until 2005, Head of Psychology at the University of Wales, Bangor. His research interests include children's learning/language development and his work in this domain has been published extensively.

Dr Brigid Lowe is a Research Fellow at the department of English at Cambridge University and a mother of two.
