"Brisk and engaging" - Kirkus

The time travel adventure continues in the page-turning second novel in the bestselling Defenders of Time series.

With the recent expansion of the time travel program to include Dr. Sam Weiss's niece, Samantha, exciting breakthroughs are on the horizon. Just days before she is set to officially join the team, Samantha, her uncle, and Special Agent Hessman encounter a group of Russian terrorists who vanish into thin air and leave behind a strange type of electrified bullet. Despite all security precautions, the terrorists once again appear in the middle of the base and successfully kidnap Samantha. Her location is completely unknown.

The team must race uncover why these Russians, who appear to have come from the future, have traveled through time to take Samantha. Their mission is immediately clear: rescue Samantha and find out why she was kidnapped in the first place. The team will be forced to overcome their outdated technology, and Special Agent Hessman's developing feelings for Samantha, to save her and unravel this mystery from the future.

Gene P. Abel is the author of The Inn of Destiny. He has written other books including UFO Documentaries' and Sci-fi trilogy about Time Travel and Alien contact. His historical adventure about preventing WWII has been a big success. Several of his books are being pitched in Hollywood for motion pictures. All his books are on his website: genepabelbooks.com. He holds a bachelor's degree in finance and an MBA, and spent thirty years as a business executive in the private and public sectors alongside thirty years of service as an Army and Army Reserve officer. A Distinguished Military Graduate of Penn State and a graduate of the Army War College, he retired as a colonel and twice received the Meritorious Service Medal. Mr. Abel lives in South New Jersey with his wife Susan, a retired patient care technician. After retiring as the COO of the Central Bucks School District, the storyline of The Inn of Destiny just materialized in his head. The only way to get it out was to write his salacious romance novel that combines romance, international intrigue all wrapped in the fog of the supernatural when Jackie and Jerry French experience dreams on a getaway weekend that provides a look into their future. This novel initiated Mr. Abel's journey that has resulted in him publishing eighteen books in several genres since 1999. He is the host of ALIEN AGENDA with Gene P. Abel, a podcast that looks at everything about UFOs including interviews with people who claim they had their own experience. The podcast is in its 4th season, and past episodes can be accessed from his website, genepabelbooks.com with a link at the top of the Home Page. You can also contact Mr. Abel from a link on his Home Page.
