READ ME SERIES are stories for children written and designed to encourage children to enjoy reading and to substitute the lost fireside experiences of the past. They are intended to bridge the gap between the past and present generations. Tegura is a young boy who loves and saves animals from his brother's traps. One day a beautiful girl is caught in one of the traps and Tegura rescues her. The two fall in love and get married but his wife has a secret, which Tegura promises to keep. When Tegura fails to keep his promise, all sorts of calamities happen but his animal friends come to his rescue.
