The research of Muluberhan Hagos compares the customary laws of ethnic groups in Eritrea and the modern laws of the country, with a focus on the legal issues in society that emerge, understood from a gender perspective. These issues include the laws of person and gender, abortion, family law, succession and property, the law of contracts and criminal and civil liabilities in gender-related offences.
