Anchored by a prose poem on a series of baptisms she's witnessed, Jen Rose Yokel's second collection of poetry has grown out of the seven years since her transplant from the South to New England. Her combination of free verse and poetic forms capture overheard conversations, psalms of longing and lament, the nostalgic tension that comes with age, and musings stirred by early pandemic quarantine.
