Alison is a journalist who works for the Mail newspaper in Cardiff. There she meets and falls in love with her work colleague Adam Santana who is of Spanish descent. They work on many joint work projects, including a financial fraud case which takes them to Spain, which ignites Adam's wish to live and work there. He really wishes to marry her and live and work out in Spain but she has no real desire to team up with him out there, which eventually results in their break up.
