In a world intent on suppressing your true self, would you fade into obscurity or become uncontainable? Rose felt destined to fade, until a chance encounter with a mysterious, inhuman being promised her gifts and thrust her into the world of the supernatural; giving her the chance to fight on. She must work with a young man called Rift who conjures portals and clashes with Rose at every turn. She must also work with a strange telepathic girl called Echo, who was kept in containment for most of her life, losing her voice in the shadow organization's experiments before being freed. Will they survive and destroy the shadow organization known as ORDER that threatens to hunt down all supernatural beings? Or will they be swallowed up?
