Power dynamic relationships-Dominant/submissive, Master/slave, Owner/property, Leader/follower-often involve highly structured commitments with more rules and clear guidelines than the average egalitarian relationship. This, as well as other qualities of consensual hierarchical bonds, have made them very attractive to individuals on the autistic spectrum, on both sides of the "slash". "Service on the Spectrum" is an anthology of essays and interviews with people who are engaging in these atypical relationships while also coping with their own atypical neurology, and finding ways to make their love structure into an exoskeleton for better living.
