Zusammenfassung

This book includes three works by Berdyaev on Dostoevsky's literature, which are "Revelations about Man in Dostoevsky's Literature," his article on the character "Stavrogin," and finally his study of "The Legend of the Grand Inspector," which is an extension of his book "Dostoevsky's Vision of the World." The first chapter of the book talks about human destiny, good, evil, freedom, and love in Dostoyevsky's works. The writer tries to triumph over the idea that Dostoyevsky is a thinker, not a creator. Dostoevsky, as Berdyaev asserts, was not interested in nature or historical monuments. Rather, his primary interest was in man, in the way he spends his life, and in his thoughts and feelings. He considers that nothing attracts attention in Dostoyevsky's novels other than humans and human relationships. His heroes are busy only visiting each other and talking about the tragic fate of all humanity.
