Vi used to be a fighter. In the underground rings she was a champion, but on the streets of Eastport, where gangs and trade powers fight for dominance, the most she could ever be is a pawn. Instead she keeps her head down, takes care of her people, and tries to avoid trouble.

Trouble comes for her anyway, when a wealthy citizen decides he wants something she has. As his net draws tighter around her, hope rests in the unlikeliest places: the provocative thief she can't keep her hands off of, and the childhood sweetheart she once betrayed.
