Erin Hànyù Lynch was born and raised in New York, where she cultivated the art of daydreaming. A recipient of the Mellon Mays research fellowship, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Chicago with a degree in the history of science. When she isn't writing, she can be found thinking about writing, talking to her cat, or scribbling in the smallest handwriting you've ever seen. (No, really. She fit all of her high school calculus homework onto ten sheets of paper.) Fleet of Wonders is her first novel.
