Rusty Clay sits alone in his office. It is dead winter and he knows he should have waited out the season in Florida. He also knows something has lured him back to Alabama.

In walks local blogging celebrity Lucy Smith, wanting Rusty to find out who is trying to kill her. As a young girl, Lucy was the last person to see Rusty's sister Lola-a cult music figure decades after her death-before she disappeared into thin air. Rusty knows a can of worms is about to be opened.
