Lou Levite, Jr., is a writer and observer whose work explores belief, perception, identity, and political division. After studying marketing and cultural anthropology, he spent years traveling throughout the United States, working across multiple trades and industries, and closely observing how people understand the world around them. His experiences in activism, political organizing, and life on the road helped shape the ideas explored in Belief Rules the World, which began as an attempt to understand why people with fundamentally different beliefs often struggle to truly communicate with one another. He is also the author of Without a Gun and now lives in Florida.
