Hope Wabuke is the author of the full-length poetry collections Blood on the Leaves and The Body Family, as well as three chapbooks of poetry including her, winner of the Locked Horn Press Chapbook Prize. She has won fellowships and awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Barbara Deming Memorial Foundation, and the Fulbright Foundation, among others. A former contributing editor for The Root, where she originated a series on African and African diasporic literature, she currently serves as a consulting editor for the African Poetry Book Fund and Susan J. Rosowski Associate Professor of English at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
