Zusammenfassung

It all started at the town's Holiday Charity Auction. I donated my services for a good cause. The services? Those are a little sketchy.

Apparently I'm someone's idea of a local celebrity hunk because I play pro hockey.

The upshot is I was talked into going on a date with some lucky bidder.

The lucky bidder? She could be voted the least likely person in the entire town who should be bidding on the likes of me.

She's too young--a senior in high school and I'm way out of school by now.

And more importantly than that--I know, hard to believe something more important than a seasoned bachelor like myself on a date with a high school girl--she's a treasured (read: sheltered) daughter of the one family in town who hates me, hates my entire family in fact.

The Rossis and the Jennings are arch enemies, as in the Hatfields and McCoys, only without the weapons and killing. At least until now.

But I happen to be Carmela's heart's desire, so she gets her date.

Fast forward past the debacle of the auction, the date and her high school graduation, and that's when my judgment seems to waiver.

Because she's determined and I can't help wanting to see her again. And again.

Carmela Rossi is the kind of treat--a Garden-of-Eden-Apple--that I'm having trouble resisting.

Please pray for our souls...

Patrick: the Jennings Brothers is part of the Hockey Boys series of small town hockey romances where super hunks compete on and off the ice against their nemesis--the family they've been feuding with for three generations--to find success and especially love in a story that's as angsty as it is full of humor and heart warming moments.

Stephanie Queen has always been a writer. Ever since second grade when the Nuns of Sacred Heart School got her hooked by offering fame?though not fortune?and she won first prize in their story contest. That was her first publishing gig.

After that Stephanie put writing mostly on the back burner while she built up a catalogue of life experiences. She went to UConn, got married, had two sons who could star as heroes in any lucky girl's romance story, got a Masters degree at Harvard University, worked a few jobs?Math teacher, Keebler Elf and desk jockey at various cubicle farms doing bureaucratic things. Then she finally put writing stories back on the front burner.

Since then, Stephanie has published more than forty novels and novellas. She teaches novel writing classes and also speaks at libraries, conferences and workshops on writing and publishing.

"One of my all-time favorite things in the world is to hear from readers who enjoy my books. I love to write back, too. If you email me, I will reply!"
