Zusammenfassung

A six-session guide to bring up children and teens who love God, embrace a life of dynamic faith, and are growing in Christ-like character.

As Christian parents, we long to raise our children in such a way that they will come to choose and delight in a strong relationship with Christ. In our everyday interactions and behaviors, our role is to help them cultivate strong character and spiritual strength as they grow toward maturity in their faith and into adulthood.

Raising Spiritually Strong Kids Workbook equips you with the practical knowledge and tools to do just that. Based on the principles and skills laid out by respected psychologist Charles Fay, PhD, CEO of the Love and Logic Institute in Raising Spiritually Strong Kids, this interactive workbook and accompanying videos will not only help you grow in understanding, but they will also assist you in deeply internalizing these principles-giving you what you need to parent and disciple your kids in both loving and strong ways that bring glory to God, cultivate spiritual growth, and avoid unwinnable control battles.

Whether done individually, with your spouse, or with a small group, Raising Spiritually Strong Kids Workbook dives deep into common parenting challenges to address how we can lead our children well.

Each session of this parenting workbook includes:

  • a list of themes and questions to discuss with a group or reflect upon individually
  • accompanying videos with advice from Dr. Fay on how to handle true-to-life challenges
  • practices designed to help you take small steps toward relying on God, modeling His ways, and assuming the role of steward and consultant for your children
  • additional questions and activities to work on between sessions

Parenting is a big challenge that no one does perfectly, particularly in the context of busy lives full of responsibilities and unexpected trials. Raising Spiritually Strong Kids Workbook will serve as a resource for you to focus on God's grace and His instructions as we clearly and lovingly teach our children about Him.

Charles Fay, PhD, is an internationally recognized author, consultant, and public speaker. He is also president of the Love and Logic Institute. Millions of educators, mental health professionals, and parents worldwide have benefited from Dr. Fay's down-to-earth solutions to the most common and frustrating behaviors displayed by youth of all ages. His methods come directly from years of research and clinical experience serving severely disturbed youth and their families in psychiatric hospitals, public and private schools, and homes.

Dr. Fay's interest in education and psychology were piqued by years of contact with some of our nation's most dynamic experts in these fields. This early exposure began in childhood when he participated in training events with his father, Jim Fay. Jim is one of the nation's leading experts on child discipline and has over 50 years of experience in public education. The internationally recognized Love and Logic approach was literally developed around Dr. Charles Fay as he grew. Now, he jokes, "I think that's why I became a psychologist . . . just to figure out what they were doing to me as a kid! But let me be clear . . . I absolutely adore my mom and dad as a result of these experiences."

Dr. Fay earned his PhD with highest honors from the University of South Carolina. Prior to and during his university training in school and clinical psychology, he enjoyed working with children in psychiatric, public school, and mental health settings. Because of his high-powered sense of humor and story-telling skills, audiences experience the most memorable and life-changing form of learning-learning that's mentally connected to joy and real-life examples.

Dr. Fay and his wife, Monica, reside in the mountains outside of Denver, Colorado. They have three sons who are young adults. When he isn't writing, consulting, or speaking, he enjoys snowmobiling, off-road motorcycle riding, hiking, and other active sports with his family.
